Protection – Health, Environment and Sustainability

Sustainability, environmental protection and health protection are essential and fundamental parts of our corporate philosophy. In the product range at Berger-Seidle, this philosophy has many faces, such as reduction and avoidance of solvents, avoidance of problematic substances such as NMP / NEP or the use of renewable and natural raw materials such as natural oils and water as far as technically possible. This is how we combine ecology and economy.

This protection is not just part of a marketing brochure – it is concrete. Examples are products such as a 100% oil or the first completely isocyanate / aziridine-free and thus completely hazard labeling-free 2-component water-based finish on the market according to the CLP regulation. Result: Maximum performance with maximum health protection for the installers and the end customer.

Numerous different external certificates by institutes and laboratories confirm and prove this impressively. For example: Blue Angel, Emicode EC1 or children’s toys certificates.

In this way we also help people with allergies and special health sensitivities, regardless of whether they are installers or homeowners. Together, we reduce health risks thanks to mild and uniquely low-emission products combined with individual service. In consultation with the doctor, we also discuss ingredient requirements in detail when needed.

Since the mid-1970s, we have been developing the first parquet and cork finishes based on water. A long and complex development process was and still is necessary here. Today we can say: The environmental and health concept is not a luxury – and can be realized even with the highest quality standards.

In the end, we achieve this sustainability thanks to our close partnerships and decades of loyalty together with our customers. Every single purchase decision at Berger-Seidle not only helps the customer and the environment. With each purchase, the customer also supports Berger-Seidle as a developing, medium-sized family business, which is committed day-by-day and specifically to the development of new and improved “green” products.
